t2′12 is Over – Thank You!
To all those who contributed to the conference either as an attendee or as a speaker: Thank You! It is fair to conclude that the conference was a great success.
If you want to have your say about t2’12 or the forthcoming conference, please send us feedback.
Also, please mark your calendars – t2’13 infosec will take place in Helsinki, Finland, from October 24 to 25, 2013 🙂
t2′12 Schedule Rearrangement
We are sorry for the short notice, however, we have to rearrange the schedule a bit as Boris Sverdlik could not make it. Luckily we were able to get a top notch speaker to replace him!
See you soon!
Less than 10 seats left
If you’ve ever been to t2, you know that the atmosphere and networking is everything. In order to keep it that way, we have to limit the amount of attendees, meaning there is a total of 99 seats available, including speakers and organizers.
Although there is still two weeks to go we have passed the 90% mark. If you want to make sure you’ll actually have a seat, we advice you to register now.
t2’12 Challenge Solution
In real life, your technical superiority is one thing and your ability to present your work is another. Therefore, we feel that Timo Teräs from Finland submitted the best write-up that both eloquently and accurately illustrates the Challenge.
So, without further ado:
t2’12 Challenge Winners
More Smoked Leet Chicken from Russia was the first one to solve the t2’12 Challenge (6 hours 41 minutes). The authors are completely stunned – that is like running a marathon in 1 hour … Awesome work! Congratulations!
The second ticket goes to Timo Teräs from Finland. Officially, he’ll be known as Mr. Double Elegance as this is the second year he submits the best write-up. His write-up was extremely well written and he pretty much found all the Easter eggs too. This was no small feat by any means as the overall quality of the submitted write-ups this year was outstanding!
Congratulations to both winners!
We would also like to thank everyone for participating. And, if you feel that you have an interesting Challenge to suggest for t2’13, please let us know 🙂

t2’12 surprise speaker!
We are proud to present t2’12 surprise speaker!
Felix ‘FX’ Lindner, leader of the legendary Phenoelit group as well as pwner at Recurity Labs GmbH will talk about Huawei routers.
So far, very little is known of Huawei’s Software Platform and its security. This presentation will introduce the architecture, special properties of configurations and services as well as how to reverse engineer the OS. Obviously, this is done only to ensure compatibility with router products of other vendors 😉
t2 staff thinks that this talk will be both interesting and extremely entertaining 🙂
