We would like to think that we are running a pretty cool conference, however we might be a bit biased 🙂 Then again, you don’t have to take our word for it – please read what people who were there write about T2:
T2´08 is over – Thank You!
All those who contributed to the conference either as an attendee or as a speaker: Thank you! It is fair to conclude that the conference was a great success. We feel that there were many very interesting presentations and a very good atmosphere for discussion and networking 🙂
We also received excellent feedback and we promise that T2´09 will be even better. See you next year at T2´09!
Schedule Rearrangement
We are extremely sorry about the short notice but we had to rearrange the schedule. Effectively this means that Adam Laurie will have both of his talks (A Day in the Life of a Hacker, RFIDIOts!!) on Thursday and Nishad’s (Now you see it, Now you dont – Obfuscation for fun and profit!) will be kept on Friday.
We apologize for the possible inconvenience.
Speculation surrounds DoS vulnerability in the TCP protocol
Heise has an interesting article that discusses the vulnerability in the TCP protocol.
Slashdotted!
Well, almost 🙂
Slashdot has an article about the forthcoming talk from Jack C. Louis and Robert E. Lee. The talk will divulge new technical details about TCP state table manipulation vulnerabilities that affect availability.
T2´08 Challenge Winners
T2´08 Challenge proved to be a lot more difficult to solve than we thought – we received only seven correct solutions.
The first one to solve the challenge was Florent Marceau from France. We received his solution three days after the challenge had begun (2008-09-09 13:18).
Fabrice Desclaux, also from France sent the best solution by means of technical accuracy and detail.
Congratulations guys! You are entitled to free entrance to T2´08!
We would also like to thank everybody who attended. If you feel that you would have an interesting challenge for T2´09 please let us know 🙂
T2´08 Challenge status update 2
Sorry for the delay – I’ve been on vacation and my remote access solution did not work out as planned. So far only six people have solved the challenge.
If we do not receive more solutions by the end of the week – we will have a vote on Sunday regarding the winner of the other ticket. Effectively this means that we will publish the results on Monday.
T2´08 Challenge status update
It would seem that the Challenge is more challenging this year – we have not received a single correct answer yet. This is the first time the Challenge has withstood more than 24 hours!
Please remember that you do not have to be the first one to solve it – the Advisory Board will select another winner among the next ten correct answers. The criteria for the other selection is the elegance of the answer. In short, you can win with both speed and style 🙂
T2´08 Challenge status
Just a quick status: T2´08 Challenge has been downloaded more than 1000 times during the first hour or so. T2 staff wishes luck to all the competitors!
