t2′09 Challenge Stats – EOF
This is the last post regarding the Challenge stats. We are sorry about the silence but basically the situation is exactly the same as week ago.
Around 50-60 contestants have been able to solve the first phase. Nine contestants have been able to solve all the remaining phases as well. So there is still room for one solution (if you are after the ticket that is).
We will wait two more weeks and will announce the second winner on 5th of October. So be quick and you will still have a chance to make it to the “elegance evaluation” round :)
t2′09 Challenge Stats – Week 2009-09-07 – 2009-09-11

As stated at http://www.t2.fi/challenge/ the Advisory Board will select another winner among the next ten correct answers. The criteria for the other selection is the elegance of the answer.
So be quick and you will still have a chance to make it to the "elegance evaluation" round :)
t2′09 Challenge Stats – Weekend 2009-09-06 – 2009-09-06
Only three contestants have been able to solve all the phases of the Challenge so far. Congrats!
We would also like to remind you that if you are after a free ticket it makes sense to pay attention to your write up as the second ticket is given away to a contestant who is able to come up with the most elegant solution.

t2′09 Challenge Hint #2
The key is 8 digits long. No more hints will be published as it should be now pretty straightforward to solve the first phase.
t2′09 Challenge Stats – Friday 2009-09-04
Timo Hirvonen from Tampere, Finland was the first one to solve the t2'09 Challenge. The feat that he pulled off was absolutely amazing. Congratulations!
That being said, now the rest of the contestants should concentrate on the elegance of the answer.
So far Timo is the only one who has been able to solve phase 1 (and well rest of the phases as well :)
t2′09 Challenge Hint #1
Based on the comments and email discussions the general opinion seemed to be that we should not reveal too much information, especially since one contestant has been able to solve the first stage without any hints.
So, here we go: it is RC4.
Next hint will be published today 22:00 EEST (GMT +03:00). The next hint will be about the key.
